Tour Itinerary Fes to Marrakech 4 day desert tour

Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Erfoud – Merzouga

Your tour will start with a pickup from your hotel in Fes, and then you’ll begin your journey south towards the desert. On the way, you’ll pass through the stunning cedar forests of the Middle Atlas Mountains and stop to visit Ifrane, also known as “the Switzerland of Morocco,” and then Midelt, where you’ll enjoy lunch.

In the afternoon, you’ll cross the Ziz Valley and continue to Erfoud, a town known for its fossil quarries. From here, you’ll make your way to Merzouga, where you’ll spend the night in a traditional Berber camp in the heart of the desert.

Day 3: Merzouga – Todgha Gorge – Dades Gorges

On the second day, you’ll wake up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes, followed by a traditional Berber breakfast. Then, you’ll ride camels back to Merzouga and continue your journey towards Tinghir, where you’ll visit the Todra Gorges, a spectacular canyon with sheer cliff walls that reach up to 300 meters in height.

After lunch, you’ll continue to the Dades Gorges, where you’ll spend the night in a local guesthouse.

Day 3: Dades Gorges – Kasbah Amridil – Ouarzazate

On the third day, you’ll head towards the famous Valley of Roses, where you can see the beautiful rose fields and visit a local cooperative where they produce rose water, a popular cosmetic product. Afterward, you’ll continue to the Skoura Oasis, where you’ll visit the Kasbah Amridil, a 17th-century fortress that has been beautifully preserved.

In the afternoon, you’ll arrive in Ouarzazate, where you’ll visit the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that has been featured in many movies and TV shows, including Game of Thrones.

Day 3: Ouarzazate – Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

On the final day of your tour, you’ll head towards Marrakech, stopping at the Tizi n’Tichka pass, the highest mountain pass in Morocco at 2260m above sea level, and offering stunning views of the Atlas Mountains.

Upon arrival in Marrakech, you’ll have some free time to explore the city’s famous souks, visit the Bahia Palace, or take a walk through the lively Jemaa el-Fna square before ending your tour with a drop-off at your hotel.
