DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN CASABLANCA

At the estimated time, pick up by our guide at Casablanca airport. Departure to the economic capital of Morocco to visit its famous Hassan II mosque and, if time permits, visit more interesting places such as the Courniche, the Place des Pigeons … etc.. Overnight in hotel.

DAY 2: CASABLANCA – RABAT – SOUK LARBAA – OUAZANE – CHEFCHAOUEN

After breakfast, we’ll head to Rabat to see its top attractions, including the Hassan Tower, the Mohammed V Mausoleum, and the Oudaias Alcazaba. After that, we will go for Chefchaouen, or Chaouen as it is often known, which is the first intercontinental natural park designated a biosphere natural reserve.

DAY 3: CHEFCHAOUEN – ROMAN RUINS – MEKNES – FEZ

DAY 4: GETTING TO KNOW FEZ

DAY 5: FEZ – IFRANE – CEDAR FOREST – MIDÉLT – ZIZ VALLEY – MERZOUGA DESERT

We set off towards Ifrane, widely known as the tiny Moroccan Switzerland due to its striking likeness to that nation, and travel via the Middle Atlas Mountains. The Atlas lion, which is now represented by a stone monument in the city’s center, was one of the creatures that formerly called this place home.

We’ll go through the well-known cedar forests, where we can see the Great Cedar Gouraud, the biggest old-growth cedar in the area, and feed the numerous Gibraltar monkeys who live there. After lunch in Midélt, the landscape becomes dry and full of amazing geological structures and lush valleys like the Ziz Valley.

We are now at the entrance to the desert as we begin to see the usual adobe buildings, palm palms, and a few distant Kasbahs. After leaving Erfoud, we travel for an hour to Merzouga, where we will take the welcome tea, put our luggage in the rooms, and climb the first dunes that are right adjacent to the hotel. DAY 6: MERZOUGA – NOMADIC FAMILIES – CAMEL RIDING AND NIGHT IN CAMP

Today will be entirely in the desert. After a filling and rich breakfast, we will travel around the Erg Chebbi, a stretch of sandy desert that is home to Morocco’s Great Dune, which is over 250 meters high. We will also connect by track with a portion of the old Paris-Dakar route and the mountains that border Algeria in the distance.

Stop in the Tissardmin oasis to see the fossilized remains of races that are still present in this area before continuing on to a nomadic hamlet to understand some of the details of their way of life. Later, we will pause at a vantage point from which we can view the entire Erg Chebbi. We will reach the Mali-born village of Khamlia, where we may unwind with a cup of tea and take in a brief performance of Gnawa spiritual music.

To start our first night in the tents, we will go back to the hotel. It will begin with a dromedary ride that includes a required halt to take in an amazing sunset. The camels will carry us to the camp, where we’ll spend the night in tents and have a sumptuous meal in the middle of the desert.

DAY 7: MERZOUGA DESERT – RISSANI MARKET – TODRA GORGES – DADES VALLEY

The dawn marks the beginning of the day. Since you are in the desert, it is best to rise early and stroll to the highest dune nearby to view the sunrise and the tranquil surroundings that nature provides.

Following a sumptuous breakfast, we bid the desert farewell and go to Rissani, where we will explore the market (market days: Tuesday, Thursday, or Sunday). After Erfoud, where there is a chance to tour the facility that produces petrified marble, we will continue on to the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad. One of the High Atlas’ most magnificent locations, the Todra Gorges, will be reached an hour later.

DAY 8: DADES VALLEY – ROSE VALLEY – SKOURA PALM GROVE – HIGH ATLAS – MARRAKECH

After breakfast, we will take advantage of one of the most advantageous locations the mountains have to offer to see one of the greatest views of the Dades Valley. We will be able to count the number of kasbah and admire how lovely each one is before moving on to a route that is lined with several noteworthy kasbah.

We will arrive in Ouarzazate and visit the Kasbah of Taourirt, the former home of the Glaoui or Pasha of Marrakech, as well as the Film Studios and Film Museum if you are interested after a number of stops to enjoy the Route of the Thousand Kasbah, the Valley of the Roses, and the enormous palm grove of Skoura.
