ITINERARY
Day 1 : CASABLANCA – RABAT – FEZ
We will pick you up at your hotel in Casablanca or at the airport at the time of your flight’s arrival, then we will visit the Hassan II Mosque and make a short tour to see the most emblematic points of the economic capital of Morocco. Then we will continue our way to Fez, the cultural capital and the oldest of the 4 Imperial Cities of the country, which was for centuries the cultural and religious center of the Western Islamic world and was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Accommodation in a hotel or riad.
Day 2 : FES – IFRAN- MIDELT – MERZOUGA
Breakfast and departure to Ifrane, known as “the Switzerland of Morocco”. The next village will be Azrou, and we will stop to visit the cedar forest in Azrou. Then we will continue our journey and cross the Middle Atlas Mountains. We will continue to the city of Errachidia. Arriving in Erfoud, you will take a camel ride to reach the desert camp in the middle of the dunes, where you will spend the night, enjoy your evening, have dinner under the stars, and sleep in a nomad tent. Accommodation: tents/dinner/breakfast.
Day 3: MERZOUGA – RISSANI – ERFOUD – TODRA – DADES
After breakfast, we ride camels back to the village and depart for the desert through the ancient desert city of Rissani, passing Tinjdad and Tinghir. We will walk in Todra Gorges along the river. Today we continue to Boulemane Dades, where we will visit the gorges. Overnight in a local hotel or riad in Dades.
Day 4 : DADES VALLEY – AIT BENHADDOU – MARRAKECH
Today we head through Kalaa Magouna and the road of thousands, Kasbah. Then we continue to Skoura to visit Kasbah Ameridil. Then we will head toward Ouarzazate. We will visit the local film studio and then visit the nearby Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, where many famous movies were filmed (The Mummy, Gladiator, and Lawrence of Arabia). After lunch in a local restaurant overlooking the Kasbah, we will continue our journey through the High Atlas Mountains. We will arrive in the afternoon in Marrakech. End of our service.
