This amazing 4-day excursion from Rabat to desert Merzouga takes you on a spectacular journey via the High Atlas Mountains, which are home to Berber towns, Kasbahs, gorges, canyons, palm groves, and the Sahara Desert (Erg Chebbi dunes), which has an oasis.
DAY 1: RABAT – MEKNES – VOLUBILIS – FES
Your Moroccan adventure begins in Rabat with professional drivers and native Sahara guides. After hotel pickup, the 4 Day Rabat Tour to Merzouga and Marrakech begins.
We then drive to Meknes. We get to Bab Mansour’s gate. Then we see the Unesco World Heritage Site of Volubilis, which has Roman remains. Then we’ll drive to Fes, where you’ll tour Medina with a local guide and stay in a local hotel.
DAY 2 : FES – IFRAN – AZROU – ERFOUD – MERZOUGA
After breakfast, we tour Ifran, known as “Morocco’s Switzerland,” and then go to Azrou and the cedar forest. After lunch, we continue to Midelt through Errachidia and Ziz Valley. We visit Erfoud, which is well-known for its fossil industry. Then we arrive in Merzouga. Dinner and an overnight stay at a desert motel.
DÍA 3 : MERZOUGA – RISSANI – VALLE DEL TODRA – GARGANTAS DEL DADES
Our four-day tour from Rabat to Merzouga and Marrakech continues, and our camel guide will wake you up early in the morning to see the sunrise over the Sahara. After breakfast, we’ll head to Rissani, Tinghir, and the Todra Gargantas, Marruecos’ tallest and most slender peaks.
After that, we’ll go to the Valley of the Dades to dine and stay at the Kasbah.
DAY 4 : DADES GORGES – SKOURA – AIT BENHADDOU – MARRAKECH
We fly to Skoura after breakfast, then to Ouarzazate and its Atlas studios. We continue to Ait Ben Haddou after visiting the Taouirt Kasbahs. Many films were filmed here, including Lawrence of Arabia, Jesus of Nazareth, and The Gladiator. Then we proceed to Marrakech by the port of Tizi n’Tichka (2260 m).
