Tour Itinerary 5 Day desert tour from Marrakech

Day 1: Marrakech – Atlas Mountains – Ouarzazate – Dades Gorges

You’ll start your tour with a drive from Marrakech to the famous Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site. From there, you’ll continue to Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Morocco” for its film studios and movie sets. After lunch in Ouarzazate, you’ll continue to the Dades Gorges, where you’ll spend the night in a hotel.

Day 2: Dades Gorges – Tinghir – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga

After breakfast, you’ll drive through the Dades Gorges, then on to the Todra Gorges, a spectacular series of limestone canyons. You’ll have lunch in a local restaurant before continuing on to Merzouga, where you’ll spend the night in a traditional Berber guesthouse.

Day 3: Merzouga – Khamlia – M’fis – Desert Nomads – Merzouga

Today you’ll explore the Erg Chebbi dunes, one of the largest and most stunning sand dunes in Morocco. You’ll have the option to ride a camel into the dunes to watch the sunset, then spend the night in a desert camp under the stars.

Day 4: Merzouga – Rissani – Alnif – Draa Valley – Agdz

After breakfast, you’ll depart from Erg Chebbi and continue through the desert to the small town of Alnif. From there, you’ll head to Tazarine, a village known for its pottery and carpets. You’ll stop for lunch in Tazarine before continuing on to Agdz, where you’ll spend the night in a hotel.

Day 5: Agdz – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

On the final day of your tour, you’ll head back to Marrakech, stopping in Ouarzazate for lunch and to visit the Taourirt Kasbah before continuing on to Marrakech. You’ll arrive in Marrakech in the late afternoon, where your tour will come to an end.
